Pics of Bruno Fernandes mocked up wearing Man Utd shirt emerge as transfer saga goes on | Football | Sport

Bruno Fernandes is wanted by Manchester United as they seek a creative playmaker during the January transfer window. And mocked up edits of the Sporting Lisbon star wearing the club’s colours have emerged online.

Fernandes appears to be closing in on a move to Manchester United after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer personally demanded his signing.

The Portugal international has been in stunning form for Sporting Lisbon this season, scoring 15 goals across all competitions and clocking up 13 assists along the way.

United remain locked in talks with Sporting about a transfer and are lining up a bid of £65million to get a deal for the midfielder done.

The Red Devils would, ideally, use players in the operation.

But Sporting have so far turned down Angel Gomes, Joel Pereira and Marcos Rojo after they were offered.

“All players like Bruno always have a lot of market.

“We know that he’ll always be a much talked of player and sought by clubs as big as they say.

“I don’t like to think about that beforehand, but I’m starting to think of alternatives within our team if Bruno doesn’t stay with us.

“I hope that doesn’t happen. In Portugal, unfortunately, we can’t keep the best players for long. Bruno is the best player in the league.”
